Responsibilities

Supports/takes responsibility for direct technical oversight and operation of lab-scale testing and evaluation of lithium sorbent materials and hydrotreating catalysts. Position is expected to provide input in application technology aspects of both of these materials
Support the generation of catalyst and adsorbent prototypes and execute experimental programs (with input from senior members of the team) to evaluate those materials. This will involve both hands-on lab and pilot execution and analysis of the results. Willingness and ability to learn and apply the fundamentals of heterogeneous catalysis, chemical simulation or modeling, reaction and adsorption theory is beneficial. Adequately document and communicate the knowledge gained from the development work in research reports
Apply engineering and chemistry fundamentals to troubleshoot and identify root causes in application test units
Interact with a range of internal and external customers to better understand their systems and needs. Professionally communicate across a broad range of mediums and in varied environments

Required

BS, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar field
0-5 years of working experience including working in a chemical lab, plant or pilot plant operation including internships
Strong verbal and written communications skills. Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage time-sensitive projects with minimal oversight
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary project teams with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation

Preferred

Willingness and ability to learn and apply the fundamentals of heterogeneous catalysis, chemical simulation or modeling, reaction and adsorption theory
