The Director of Client Advisory Services will manage relationships with private equity partners, design shared ownership plans, and lead a team to drive the adoption of these programs across various sectors.

Responsibilities

P&L and relationship accountability for O.W.’s private equity and public client portfolio (50+ clients)

Accountable for building trusted relationships with our partners to drive shared ownership adoption and help design a high-impact employee ownership strategy that aligns with their investment and value creation goals

Oversee the design and structure of shared ownership programs for all client engagements

Responsible for improving the team’s account management capabilities and developing novel design or structuring approaches to employee ownership (including our approach to public market, long-hold models, and Europe)

Build, coach, and enable the team to deliver on strategy

Serve as a key member of the Client Advisory Services Leadership team, contributing to O.W.’s overall strategy development and Client Advisory Services team building

Required

B.A./B.S. required

15+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles within management consulting, preferred

Demonstrated experience navigating and leading diverse senior stakeholders

Exposure to the private equity ecosystem

Track record of strong management consulting skills (consistently delivering outstanding client results)

Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships, navigate complex organizations, and align diverse interests to drive the full potential of accounts

Strong executive presence and relationship management skills

Proven ability to manage multiple large teams and drive accountability across a wide portfolio of projects and clients

Track record of building outstanding teams over time: hiring the right talent, developing and coaching the team, evaluating roles and responsibilities, and evolving ways of working

Excellent people manager: excels at inspiring their team and leading by example

Deep understanding of the private equity ecosystem and dynamics within private equity firms

Interest in becoming a subject matter expert in ownership plan structuring and design (including tax and legal implications)

Exposure to culture-driven business transformation (e.g., customer centricity transformation)

Comfortable with the realities of working at a startup nonprofit organization, including the need to be both strategic/planning-oriented and tactical/action-oriented to advance the mission in a fast-paced environment

Passion for social justice and the mission of Ownership Works

Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality

Strong collaborator with experience working across cross-functional teams
