They are seeking an electrical engineer to perform detailed engineering for industrial electrical systems, including design calculations, equipment specifications, and direct client interaction.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed electrical and instrumentation engineering for industrial customers

Focus on industrial electrical systems, including instrumentation, controls, communications, and low- and medium-voltage power systems

Perform design calculations, develop equipment specifications, provide purchasing assistance, and document existing systems

Interact directly with the client for planning and reporting

Create detailed electrical design drawings and documents for construction and future maintenance

Conduct electrical studies for both new and existing systems

Program protection relays, VFDs, and related equipment

Perform project engineering management functions such as scheduling, estimating, tracking and communications

Conduct electrical system studies and occasional marketing efforts

Required

BSEE or MSEE from an ABET accredited university

6+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in an industrial setting

Electrical-system and arc-flash study experience

Working knowledge of common electrical systems drawings and documentation such as electrical plans and elevations, conduit and cable schedules, one-line diagrams, MCC and switchgear layouts and details, electrical panel schedules, wiring diagrams, motor-control and other schematics, P&IDs, lighting plans, heat-trace diagrams, hazardous area classification plans, electrical equipment specification sheets, motor lists, etc

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and other common office software

Ability to mobilize throughout industrial facilities, including climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating narrow walkways, climbing over piping and other obstacles, walking long distances, and lifting up to 50 pounds
