Chubb is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Data, who will serve as a strategic leader responsible for defining and executing the company's data technology and infrastructure vision. This executive will oversee the development and implementation of advanced data-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering innovation to maintain the company's competitive edge in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive data technology and platform strategy aligned with the company's technology best practices and goals
Drive innovation in data technology capabilities to enhance platform resiliency, security, operational efficiency, and customer experience
Serve as a thought leader in emerging technologies, including use of GenAI, machine learning, for improving efficiencies in support and development efforts
Design and implement a robust, scalable, and cloud-native data infrastructure to support the company’s growing data needs
Oversee the modernization of legacy systems to ensure seamless integration with advanced data platforms and tools
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of data systems to meet business demands
Develop and implement robust data security frameworks to protect sensitive customer and business data from cyber threats
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant standards
Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to proactively address security risks and vulnerabilities in data systems
Lead the adoption and operationalization of Dev/Sec/Ops capabilities in Data Platform and Technology
Establish best practices to ensure the efficient deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of data engineering and platform features at scale
Drive data architecture, modeling and integration of Global Data Platform capabilities across both analytical and operational use cases
Implement DataOps methodologies to streamline the development, deployment, and monitoring of data pipelines and data workflows
Foster collaboration between data engineering, analytics, and IT teams to ensure agility and efficiency in data operations
Continuously optimize data processes to reduce time-to-insight and improve operational efficiency
Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, and data architecture professionals
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, and professional growth
Partner with senior executives across the organization to align data initiatives with business priorities
Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities
Partner with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems with enterprise technology infrastructure
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the company's data technology capabilities

Required

Proven experience in a senior leadership role within data technology and infrastructure
Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, and data platform technologies
Experience with cloud-native data infrastructure and modern data practices such as GenAI/LLMOps and DataOps
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement advanced data-driven solutions
Experience in developing and implementing data security frameworks and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior executives
Ability to evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities

Preferred

Experience in the insurance industry or a related field
Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data privacy regulations
Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and best practices
Experience with data architecture and modeling for both analytical and operational use cases
