The Material Handling Service Technician role is responsible for the service, repair, and installation of Sukup products, requiring strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities while working closely with the Service Manager.

Responsibilities

Assist and/or manage installation of Sukup equipment

Provide technical advice and information on dealer/customer installation and service of Sukup products

Perform service/repair work on Sukup products domestically and internationally, as required

Involvement in the quality assurance inspection and review; research and development projects and testing of Sukup products

Assist with and/or supervise construction projects at Sukup facilities or at trade shows

Assist with backorder and shortage deliveries

Adhere to all safety rules, procedures and practices

Maintain current knowledge of equipment, technology and resources related to repair and servicing of equipment

Provide the highest level of customer service possible

Proper, orderly maintenance of tools, equipment, manuals, work space and/or vehicle used for company business

Utilize computer skills to prepare reports and document service calls

Develop and present Sukup product installation and service training sessions

Extensive driving, potential for overnight travel and regular overtime

Upholds the Sukup Standard while representing the Company

Required

Experience servicing grain handling equipment or field service type work

Hands-on mechanical experience and/or knowledge of electrical diagrams and wiring

1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination, relative to the application of general mechanical/technical and mathematic concepts to practical situations

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, adapt to change and excel in a high-pressure environment

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures

Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR annually

Proven problem solving abilities with the ability to work without direct supervision

Qualified welding skills with the ability to pass 2G and 3F GMAW qualification tests

Following appropriate safety protocol and procedures including Lock Out/Tag Out
