Student Financial Services Counselor
Queens University Of Charlotte is a nationally recognized institution focused on supporting success for diverse learners. The Student Financial Services Counselor will assist students and families with financial aid and billing processes, providing customer service and counseling on various financial aid programs.

Responsibilities
Counsel and advise current and prospective students and their families on institutional, state, and federal student financial aid programs, private alternative funding sources, and payment plans administered by the university
Provide superior customer service to students and families through email, phone, and text communications
Review of daily FAFSA submissions
Processes student employment requests and hiring forms
Monitors work study funds, and reports on student employment activity as needed
Collects Student Veteran benefit information and processes in the university database
Serves as the backup for the School Certifying Officer for VA
Special projects and additional duties as assigned to enhance the level of service and commitment to students, their families and the University
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of two years in customer service or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with students, parents, and campus partners
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook
High attention to detail
Ability to work after hours and weekend events
Maintaining the protection and confidentiality of student information
Preferred
Experience in financial aid, student accounts, or related experience in a higher education setting
Experience with Veterans Benefits or working knowledge of VA benefit categories
Hands-on experience with PowerFaids and Jenzabar or campus software systems
