Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Landfill CQA Technician to join their Waste Management practice. The role involves performing Construction Quality Assurance services to monitor and document construction activities related to landfill projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory conditions.

Responsibilities

Performing Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services to observe, document and monitor construction activities associated with landfill construction

Projects will include cell liner systems, cell final closure cap systems, landfill gas collection and control systems and other appurtenances related to a state of the art solid waste management facility

Work as a member of the project CQA team, and at times independently, to evaluate whether the completed construction meets governing project specifications and regulatory permit conditions

Perform field testing of various construction materials, and secure samples of materials that are laboratory tested to confirm compliance with project specifications

Work closely with the CEC project manager to prepare the as-built documentation needed to certify completed work

Travel will be required for project services

Required

Interest in learning and training for landfill or other related fields of construction and CQA services

Valid driver's license and ability to drive a pickup truck

Ability and interest to travel for work outside of the area, should the need arise

Desire and willingness to be trained in CQA procedures for various materials of construction and to develop as a key member of our CQA services team

Interest in working at a variety of construction project sites

Ability to speak and write professionally

AS or BS in Civil Engineering or related technical field

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical ability to work at a construction site in extenuating weather conditions
