Senior Technical Accounting Specialist

The Senior Technical Accounting Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP while providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Support strategic initiatives, including acquisition due diligence and post-deal integration
Assist with consolidation and reporting processes for multiple entities
Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting templates and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Support technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making
Assist with the preparation of management reports and presentations for executive leadership and the Board
Support external audits and liaise with external auditors as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and work independently as required
Excellent time management and analytical skills required

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Public accounting experience (Big Four or regional firm strongly preferred)
Experience with accounting/reporting in a high-growth or private-equity-backed environment
Familiarity with healthcare or payment integrity industries a plus
