Responsibilities
Lead physical security design projects from concept through issued-for-construction (IFC) deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements, standards, and operational needs
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams for physical security design scope and decisions
Manage design schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent security projects
Provide technical oversight and review of design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, narratives, OPRs, and bills of materials, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards
Coordinate and facilitate design reviews, stakeholder working sessions, and issue resolution meetings
Translate client requirements into clear design direction for engineers, integrators, and drafting teams
Ensure security system designs are scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective, incorporating lessons learned and best practices
Collaborate closely with construction managers, system integrators, IT teams, and facilities stakeholders to support successful downstream implementation
Track and manage design changes, RFIs, and design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle
Stay current on physical security technologies, low-voltage systems standards, and industry trends to inform design decisions and client recommendations
