Responsibilities
Define, review, and execute test plans on components and systems to validate hardware functionality
Create detailed test plans, including automation of test cases, and execute these plans on available components
Validation coverage includes SoC, low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface, electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, battery, charger, and RF
Includes hardware validation, debug, error injection
Work cross-functionally with teams such as system validation, system design, firmware
Produce test reports, error analysis, and validation documentation
Own parts of cross-functional projects related to validation and testing
Provide status updates, contribute to meetings, and communicate technical challenges to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering
3-5 years industry experience in EE related tasks
Experience executing electrical validation on the bench
Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temperature chamber
Understanding of board schematics and board layout
Finding proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT
This role is considered an immediate on-site position located in Sunnyvale, CA
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours
