Reliability Engineer
Continental Building Products is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead the Plant Reliability Program and meet corporate reliability targets. The role involves identifying problem areas, investigating downtime causes, and developing strategies for plant and operational improvements.

Responsibilities
Track and “champion” all aspects of plant reliability
Develop priority listings for reliability and plant improvement projects
Prepare solutions to long term and chronic problem areas
Investigate and provide reports with recommendations on equipment failures
Provide engineering support for the maintenance department
Assist in developing and achieving Maintenance Department development goals
Support the Maintenance Inspection, PPM, Planning, Execution & Improvement Teams
Assist in the implementation of machinery improvement. Promote and use problem-solving tools such as Root Cause Failure Analysis
Research and develop new methods and approaches to address reliability issues
Assist in setting departmental objectives
Assist with the implementation of recommendations developed through reliability initiatives (RCFA)
On call support for the Maintenance department
Adhere to Plant and regulatory safety requirements
“Champion” Plant Reliability through active promotion and advertisement
Lead the reliability committee and meetings
Track, record and post Plant reliability results on at least a monthly basis
Develop and maintain Plant reliability Risk Analysis working with the Plant PPM group(s)
Investigate major equipment failures and provide recommendations to prevent re-occurrence
Initiate, engineer and install equipment improvement initiatives
Provide recommendations to management for improvement projects that require capital funding
Ensure productivity, housekeeping and quality of work standards are maintained within the maintenance department
Aim to achieve 98% reliability targets on all major pieces of equipment
Achieve personal and departmental goals
Participate in the plant “On-Call” system
Qualification
Required
Lead Plant Reliability Program toward meeting corporate reliability targets for all the major systems in the Plant
Proactively identify problem areas and lead investigation of the causes of downtime
Promote elimination of reliability issues
Develop strategies for overall plant improvement as well as departmental operational improvements
Track and 'champion' all aspects of plant reliability
