Aircraft Maintenance & Systems Technician
Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator focused on hypersonic testing and innovation for national security. The Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modifications on the carrier aircraft airframe and systems.

Responsibilities
Fabrication, installation, testing and maintenance of carrier aircraft systems and components including:
Fuel systems and components
Hydraulic systems and components
Pneumatic systems and components
Electrical systems and components
Engine systems and components
Airframe and aircraft structures
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations on aircraft to include inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting activities
Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify any issues or potential problems
Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilot or crew
Perform all line maintenance functions to include preflight, post flight, launch, and recovery of aircraft
Ensure proper and timely entry of maintenance performed in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log (MDL)
Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
Maintain carrier aircraft in accordance with work instructions, the inspection plan and adhere to established standards such as AC 43-13, technical manuals, blueprints, or sketches for acceptable systems installation methods, techniques, and practices
Operate related ground handling equipment utilized to service the aircraft
Able to work in confined spaces or heights greater than 25 feet as required
Able to effectively communicate and partner with Engineering
Qualification
Required
2+ years' experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance preferred, Including multiple of the following: Fuel systems and components, Hydraulic systems and components, Pneumatic systems and components, Electrical systems and components, Engine systems and components, Airframe and aircraft structures
Experience with line maintenance functions to include preflight, post flight, launch, and recovery of aircraft
Experience maintaining, replacing, or modifying large aircraft structure or sub-systems such as Sheetmetal experience; bending, riveting, fasteners, treatment of metal, or changing large LRU's & subs system components such as flight control systems, landing gear systems, pneumatic systems, etc
Strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control
Detail oriented – strong attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to work independently, responsible, take the initiative
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Physically able to handle items weighing up to 50 lbs
Other duties as determined/assigned by management
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule
Level I ($31.00-$45.25): High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 2-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation
Level II ($39.00-$56.50): High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation
Level III ($49.00-$71.00) High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 10-20 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation
Preferred
A&P license (Preferred but not required)
IA (Preferred but not required)
Flight line or flight test experience (Preferred)
