Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to support a diverse portfolio of challenging infrastructure projects throughout rural and urban Alaska. The successful candidate will work on various projects, contributing to urban site development, rural road design, and utility system improvements.

Construction

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of a Professional Civil Engineer, with increasing responsibility based on performance and demonstrated capability

Assist in the planning, design, and construction administration of civil engineering projects

Conduct site visits and field investigations to support project planning and design

Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout project development

Prepare design and construction documents across all project phases

Support the bidding process, including development of bid documents and contractor coordination

Provide construction administration services and assist with project closeout

Direct and coordinate drafting and technical support staff

Collaborate with internal team members and external consultants across multiple disciplines

Qualification

Civil EngineeringFundamentals of Engineering ExamAutoCADDesign Document PreparationCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of civil engineering design principles, preparation of design documents, and traditional construction methods

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD drafting is preferred but not required
