This role involves leading a team of engineers and administrators, overseeing infrastructure design and maintenance, and collaborating with various teams to deliver secure and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage part of the IT Infrastructure team, providing coaching, mentoring, performance feedback and technically hands on

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network, server, and storage systems across cloud and on-prem physical hardware

Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure services, including proactive monitoring and incident response

Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and software engineering teams to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure solutions

Manage infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment

Maintain and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Manage activities related to keeping the infrastructure reliable, resilient, and fit for purpose

Participate as a management team member to champion Operational Excellence goals and objectives

Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and asset inventories

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency

Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to infrastructure hardware, software, and services

Required

Strong infrastructure experience, ideally with some managerial experience

Strong technical knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and server technologies

Leadership and management skills with proven experience in setting direction, assisting goal creating in alignment with business requirements and prioritizing operational and project tasks

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure models

Familiarity with working/managing 3rd party co-location hosting infrastructure

Solid understanding of ITIL practices and service management principles

Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead incident response efforts

Must be able to obtain a US Federal security clearance

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
