Responsibilities

Application of general electrical and controls engineering design practices while working with a Lead Engineer to prepare project deliverables

Assist in the design and specification of instrumentation required to safely operate various process systems

Assist with the creation of I&C documentation consisting of I/O and Instrument Lists, Wiring Schematics, and Design/Procurement Specifications

Prepare control narratives for system operation and monitoring

Work within a multidiscipline team to develop and progress the design on projects

Will have the ability to select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and coordinate the work with the project team members for a successful design

Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and integrating design requirements of a project

Required

BS in engineering discipline in either electrical, mechanical, chemical, or process/controls engineering from an ABET accredited university

Must possess excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, is required

Effective time management skills are required as the position may involve working on multiple projects concurrently

A successful candidate will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes

Overtime work is required at times

Travel is required to client sites with periods of field/office work

Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous areas is required

Preferred

Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is desirable

Basic understanding of digital/analog controls systems and some programming experience (practical or coursework) is a plus
