Responsibilities

Execute projects by leading technical staff and managing technical deliverables
Lead projects with responsibility for technical approach and oversight, customer satisfaction, quality, timing, and profitability utilizing cross-functional resources and best practices
Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of projects. Plan and formulate engineering programs, reviewing product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
Approve design changes and drawing releases. Coordinate activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test issues
Participate in developing engineering best practices and integrating their deployment throughout the organization
Identify risks to customer satisfaction and project deliverables, and develop action plans to mitigate
Support Program Managers in planning project financials, tracking costs, and ensuring target profitability

Required

A systems integration approach to vehicle development including knowledge in a variety of automotive and defense sub-systems
Strong organizational skills
Exceptional communication of technical and programmatic data
Ability to handle ambiguity and competing requirements in the design space
A strong personal desire to always be the best, work with the best, and support the team
BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or similar engineering education
8+ years of engineering experience in defense, automotive, or aerospace industry
Broad experience with vehicle systems, to include Powertrain, Driveline, Electrical Systems, Control Systems, and Structures

Preferred

Experience in prototype and low-volume manufacturing is a plus
