ServiceNow Discovery Admin/Implementation Specialist

Responsibilities

Administer the Discovery Admin Workspace to monitor, track, and complete discovery tasks
Configure Discovery schedules, MID Server settings, and probes/classifications to ensure comprehensive coverage of Gainwell’s infrastructure
Manage error tasks, ECC queue load visualizations, and diagnostic tools to proactively resolve issues
Create and maintain Configuration Items (CIs) and Application Services
Collaborate with platform architects to align CMDB structure with CSDM 5.0 and enterprise architecture standards
Generate and analyze on-demand reports and insights to optimize discovery operations
Fine-tune MID Server configurations for performance and coverage
Ensure all discovery activities are documented with an audit trail and align with Gainwell’s executive goals and value creation strategy
Work closely with product teams, platform owners, and executive stakeholders to ensure discovery aligns with business priorities
Participate in ServiceNow upgrade readiness and delta certification reviews. (e.g., Zurich release)
Maintain compliance with Gainwell’s internal policies and licensing standards

Qualification

Required

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required; Delta certification for current release (e.g., Zurich) preferred
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB Workspace, and ITOM Visibility plugins
Strong understanding of MID Server architecture, ECC queue, and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with CMDB data modeling, CSDM alignment, and application service mapping
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, audit-driven environment

Preferred

Experience implementing Discovery in a multi-instance ServiceNow environment
Knowledge of ServiceNOW platform architecture
