Chief Engineer
Pier Sixty-Six Resort is a luxury destination in South Florida known for its exceptional hospitality and experiences. They are seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering division, manage daily operations, and ensure the maintenance and safety of the hotel facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering division
In the director's absence, the assistant will assume the administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering
Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair
Ensure the hotel complies with all local, state, and federal laws
Supervise and train all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures, and Loss Prevention
Create and post all Engineering team members' schedules
Create and adhere to the annual budget for the department
Assist in developing financial forecasts and participating in monthly profit/loss review meetings
Create and implement a preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment
Ensure all emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified per CoralTree company standards
Actively participate in energy conservation programs
Review all guest and meeting planner comment cards to ensure problems are identified and corrected in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Assist with administrating all vendor contracts controlled by the engineering department
Ensure that room maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner
Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine the exact location and cause
Determine emergency status and report findings to Front Desk and take immediate action as necessary
Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations
Support and participate in all Pier Sixty-Six Resort programs and Safety Committee
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
Perform other duties as requested by management
Qualification
Required
Minimum three years of leadership experience in the facilities management of related properties or comparable businesses
Proven track record in managing an efficient workforce focusing on preventative maintenance of the asset's public areas, guestrooms, and physical property
Experience in organizing, implementing, and maintaining preventative maintenance tracking and work order systems
Experience in coordinating and managing hospitality capital improvement projects (i.e., public areas and guestroom renovations, FF&E repair and reupholstering, FF&E procurement, site, and building maintenance and upgrades)
A firm understanding of Federal, State, and local codes as they apply to these fields
Must have extensive working knowledge of building systems, including but not limited to; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, energy management, and Preventative Maintenance Programs
Strong mathematical skills to complete reports, financial statements, and forecasting
