Responsibilities
Serve tax exempt clients in the Healthcare, Higher Ed, and Nonprofit industries in a high impact manner, demonstrating command of a major area of specialization
Demonstrate deep technical skills and have the above related industry knowledge
Excel at engagement management and operational excellence
Assist clients with meeting their tax and day to day compliance needs
Research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues for clients
Review and sign a variety of exempt organization returns and serve as a subject matter expert when appropriate
Develop and mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm
CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification)
excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team of controversy professionals
problem solving and creative abilities, coupled with sound judgment
ability to manage multiple matters
strategic skills to build a practice
high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Experience specializing in tax exempt organizations
