Volunteer Park Host at Lake Jennings
Helix Water District is offering a volunteer opportunity as a Volunteer Park Host at Lake Jennings. The role involves assisting campers, maintaining the campground, and ensuring a positive experience for visitors while living on-site in an RV.

Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting customers while providing a positive experience. This includes providing assistance to customers 24/7, when needed
Clean and perform routine maintenance on campsites, including sweeping, litter removal and cleaning restroom facilities. Also performs landscape maintenance including planting, fertilizing, raking, trimming and cutting back trees, brush and ground cover
Collect fees, keep attendance and maintain other records of the campground; sell permits for camping and fishing; maintain a variety of records such as ticket sales, fish counts and boat launches
Patrol and maintain the security of the campground as well as Lake Jennings, the district's reservoir. This includes investigating complaints regarding misuse of the Lake Jennings Campground. Will notify proper authorities of illegal activities
Operate a boat to patrol the lake area; patrol the lake's shoreline and water to ensure trash and debris are removed
Qualification
Required
Experience working in customer service and/or maintenance
Ability to work well with people
Personable and neat in appearance
Knowledge of public relations and customer service
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Own RV, which is neat, clean and in good working order
RV must have current registration, licensing and insurance; will be reviewed every six months
Recreation Vehicle Industry Association or Department of Housing certification is required
Ability to work well with minimum supervision
Ability to present a positive, professional image of the district
Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, often in adverse situations
Ability to maintain a high level of restroom cleanliness
Ability to perform a variety of ground, landscape and building maintenance work
Basic computer skills, record keeping and ability to fill out forms
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, law enforcement agencies, the public and those encountered in the course of work
Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions
Willingness to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
