Mid LevelCamp Akiba is seeking energetic, responsible, and compassionate Division Leaders to join our leadership team for Summer 2026. The Theater and Program Director will oversee the well-being and daily experiences of campers, support staff, and ensure a safe and engaging camp environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee the well-being, growth, and daily experience of all campers in your division (approx. 40–60 campers)
Supervise and support the counselors and activity staff within your division
Serve as a key communicator between camp leadership, staff, and parents as needed
Support and reinforce camp policies, traditions, and community standards
Take regular shifts in the evening duty rotation to help monitor camp life after hours
Host or oversee evening programs and special activities for your division, ensuring they are fun, safe, and engaging. We are looking for this person to have the ultimate stage presence at camp
Actively participate in activities alongside campers to model enthusiasm and involvement
Manage conflicts that may arise among campers or staff, addressing situations fairly and calmly
Qualification
Required
Energetic, responsible, and compassionate
Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a camp or educational setting
Strong communication skills to serve as a key communicator between camp leadership, staff, and parents
Ability to supervise and support counselors and activity staff
Experience in conflict management and resolution
Ability to actively participate in activities alongside campers
Strong organizational skills to manage daily experiences of campers
Ability to host or oversee evening programs and special activities
Ability to take regular shifts in the evening duty rotation
Preferred
Experience working with children or youth
Background in theater or performing arts to enhance stage presence
Familiarity with camp policies, traditions, and community standards
