Assembly Technician III

Responsibilities

Assemble complex electro-mechanical device sub-assemblies following engineering documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards
Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively
Inspect and test electronic assemblies for functionality and compliance with specifications
Maintain accurate production and inspection records in accordance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes
Follow all safety protocols, including use of ESD-safe practices and PPE

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree preferred
Minimum 3+ years of experience in electronics/mechanical assembly, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry
Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively
Inspect and test electronic assemblies for functionality and compliance with specifications
Maintain accurate production and inspection records in accordance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processes
Follow all safety protocols, including use of ESD-safe practices and PPE
Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and BOMs
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common issues during the assembly process
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

Technical school or associate degree preferred
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards is a plus
Soldering skills and experience working under magnification is a plus
Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 compliance is a plus
Recommend process improvements to increase manufacturability and efficiency
