This role will focus on engineering excellence in bridge design projects, serving as the point of contact for local, state, and federal projects while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring quality and cost-effective designs.

Responsibilities

Design-Build, P3, DOT, and local municipality projects
Act as team lead on bridge design projects (as required)
Perform / review bridge designs
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, MicroStation, MODELING (BIM), Leap Bridge, Merlin Dash/MDX, Load Rating Software, Mathcad, and other structural analysis software
Work with CAD technicians to develop bridge plans and submittals
Prepare cost estimates
Follow state design standards and guidelines for developing projects
Coordinate with other design team members
Direct and mentor junior engineers in the preparation of calculations, plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates

Required

Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Five (5) or more years' experience in bridge design
Professional Engineering License
Design-Build, P3, DOT, and local municipality experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, MicroStation, MODELING (BIM), Leap Bridge, Merlin Dash/MDX, Load Rating Software, Mathcad, and other structural analysis software
Hands-on experience in all aspects of bridge design projects (including computer structure modeling)
In depth knowledge of DOT and AASHTO standards
Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication skills and capability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and manage risk
Ability to establish, influence, and maintain relationships with key partners

Preferred

Department of Transportation project experience
Previous structural modeling experience
