Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Gastroenterology Research Center

Responsibilities
Interpret and prepare results on omics data (circadian and microbiome related)
Develop and maintain organoids from human and mice samples
Develop and maintain immune cells (i.e., macrophages, myofibroblasts, T cells)
Conduct in vitro growth of organoids, and immune cells, and perform and optimize co-culture experiments in transwell
Perform DNA extraction, gene expression (qPCR) and protein measurements (western blot, ELISA, and immunofluoresence)
Perform co-culture and optimize drug testing on cells and organoids
Be familiar with high throughput knock in and knock out cell-based screening
Be familiar with liver image monitoring based on luciferase and fluorescence signals
Work closely with bioinformatics platforms and scientists to generate outputs from circadian and microbiota data
Analyze data and generate figures using scientific computer software (SPSS, R, Prism) and share data with the group for feedback as well as troubleshooting
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Doctoral/Terminal Degree
Experience working with cell culture and cell treatments
Experience with lab-based assays including protein and RNA based techniques
Ability to draft results of studies on circadian and microbiota experiments
Interpret and prepare results on omics data (circadian and microbiome related)

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects
