Responsibilities

Support a critical part of HubSpot’s mission by developing and operating HubSpot’s load balancing and CDN infrastructure

Play a leading role on a team of 3-5 engineers

Spend most of your time (~90%) on hands-on technical contributions

Provide technical leadership to your team, guiding design, development, and operations of systems and system components

Mentor and coach team members for growth

Required

An experienced Software Engineer with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, performant, reliable and scalable distributed systems and/or infrastructure in a Cloud environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)

Proficiency in Java, C#, Go, C++, or Rust, with Java preferred

A player/coach with excellent communication skills and prior experience mentoring others

An understanding of how to foster Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Preferred

Experience with CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare, CloudFront) and Load Balancers (e.g., NGINX, Envoy) is a plus

Experience in building company internal platforms and collaborating with feature teams is a plus
