Responsibilities

Develop an annual account strategy to meet or exceed assigned orders and revenue goals for existing and new business accounts
Sustain, improve and build relationships with end users and industry partners, including Key-decision-makers
Execute account management activities such as pricing development, NDAs, teaming agreements, portfolio, and project management
Provide technical and mission expertise internally to lead capture strategies for pursuits
Design customer specific, value-based solutions to ensure that sales objectives for new revenue are attained
Create comprehensive tactics and strategies to maintain a high value qualified pipeline
Set up regular face-to-face client meetings and presentations
Attend relevant trade shows, conferences and professional programs as directed
Complete the account plan and track performance of successfully closed leads and opportunities within reporting tools and CRM
Shape business opportunities to ensure successful bids then respond to requests for proposals in a timely and professional manner
Work collaboratively with the SD management and customer support teams to continuously improve customer satisfaction and uncover new business opportunities
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market positioning, messaging and strategy
Build industry association relationships with strategic partners and other key contacts, as appropriate
Provide pertinent information about key account, territory and industry changes to the leadership team, focusing on industry opportunities
Review competitor plans and effect of products and services; prepare pricing strategies per customer budgets and procurement methods

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
12-15 years of sales experience in a related field (military, satcom, aviation, etc..)
Must be located in or near the Huntsville, AL area
Must hold U.S. Secret Clearance or above
Solid understanding of Army, Army Aviation fixed and rotary MRO and integration organizations supporting DOW aviation end users
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, and regulations within the government and military markets
Discretion and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Highly motivated & driven to deliver results that meet & exceed goals, understanding commercial program, proposal and capture processes such as Shipley or Korn Ferry
Outstanding verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Must understand and excel in a cross-functional team environment

Military service or background required
Knowledge of airborne satellite communications
