Infrastructure Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Be responsible for management and maintenance of on-prem and cloud environments (Azure/AWS) to include Storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices, and productivity tools
Manage performance and maintains security of the corporate infrastructure including communications systems, network devices including edge switches, core switches, routers, other access devices, essential services, and sub-systems
Monitor, test, troubleshoot hardware, and software problems pertaining to the corporate implementation and support of all versions of Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft technologies
Develop tools and processes to enable automated deployment and monitoring of cloud and on-prem computer systems and applications
Develop, design, maintain required diagrams, documentation, and procedures to ensure continuous operation of supported infrastructure systems
Recommend and schedule repairs, upgrades, and patches with approval from Manager of Infrastructure
Help design, install, configure, and secure fault-tolerant solutions for infrastructure servers and associated services (i.e., DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP)
Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
Serve as an internal escalation point for Tier 3 issues and provide resolutions
Migrate systems from on-premise and co-location sites to cloud where applicable
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree in Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience
Five to seven years' related work experience managing servers, storage, telecommunications, and network systems
2+ years of experience managing systems in a large enterprise
Ability to appropriately prioritize support needs and delegate where appropriate
Experience interfacing with and managing vendors and managed service providers
Experience operating in a global company (Americas, EMEA & APAC)
Experience with enterprise authentication systems (Okta)
Hands-on experience with virtualization products (Hyper-V, VMware)
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Server operating Systems & Active Directory (Server 2008-2019\Windows Desktop 7-11)
Experience with cloud compute and storage (AWS and Azure) with cloud first approach
Previous experience developing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
Experience with Microsoft collaboration suite (Office 365 Mail, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Experience with Messaging and Email Security
Scripting experience a must
Experience with Patch Deployment
Experience with network and Systems Monitoring
Experience with ITIL
Cisco networking; switch and routing, Wi-Fi as well as ASA management
Cisco Meraki experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Desktop support to include automation with MDT\Intune or similar products (Manage Engine a plus)
Dell server knowledge with lights out access (idrac)
Dell Unity storage
QNAP NAS devices

Preferred

CCNP, MCSE, VCP, ITIL, Security+, Azure, or AWS certifications
Knowledge of security best practices
Log analysis
SIEM
Remediation of security vulnerabilities both in systems and networking
