Responsibilities

Coordinate across disciplines to ensure the system requirements and design are properly and thoroughly defined and captured
Work with subject matter experts to decompose requirements
Lead or support trade studies of technical challenges
Guide system design decision-making
Use Model Based Engineering (MBE) methods and tools
Generate and update specifications and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRM) in DOORS
Verify traceability of requirements
Serve as a primary interface with engineering and program leadership
Provide guidance and direction to a team of engineers

Required

BS degree in a STEM field with 12+ years of related experience, MS degree in STEM field with 10+ years of related experience, or PhD in STEM field with 7+ years of related experience
Experience decomposing requirements for DoD-based platforms or systems
Working knowledge of DOORS
Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware and software
Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent decision-making and communication (written and oral) skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams solving technical challenges and developing engineering work products
Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret Clearance with additional customer specified clearance prior to start

Preferred

Experience supporting DoD programs during EMD and/or LRIP phases
Skill at coaching and mentoring early career engineers
Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) methods and tools
Experience working as part of an Agile team and maintaining awareness of cost and schedule constraints
Working knowledge from the following specialty areas: EOIR systems, sensors, optics
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
