Sr. Healthcare Interior Designer / Campus Planning & Design / Full-time / Days
Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is a leader in pediatric care, providing exceptional services for children. The Sr. Healthcare Interior Designer will be responsible for maintaining and updating CHLA finish standards, producing schematic finish packages, and collaborating with design teams on capital projects.

Responsibilities
Maintaining and updating CHLA finish standards, including furniture, artwork and signages
Independently researching, evaluating and selecting materials, fabrics and furniture as part of maintaining the finishing standards and as new needs arise
Producing schematic finish packages based on CHLA finish standards in support of donor funding opportunities, for approval by end users and enterprise leaders
Developing floor plans, pattern design, nurse stations, elevations, room finishes, etc
Collaborating with the Capital Project Managers and supporting the capital projects by ensuring design teams have properly used and implemented the CHLA finish standards in construction projects
Assisting the various design teams as needed and final review/ approval of the construction documents
Leading, under the guidance of the Director of Planning and Design, specific enterprise initiative projects (wayfinding/ capital renewal)
Assisting in and leading stakeholder meetings and work groups, documenting objectives and effectively analyzing need vs. wants
Qualification
Required
10+ years of related experience, with a minimum of 7 years in healthcare-specific projects
Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations and safety standards
Experience with evidence-based design principles and regulatory compliance for healthcare environments
Space Planning & Layout Design
Adobe Create Suite
Bluebeam
Auto CAD
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
Preferred
Certification such as NCIDQ or CID
