District Sales Manager
Hayward Holdings, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of industrial thermoplastic valves and related products. The District Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth within the municipal water and chemical processing markets by expanding distributor engagement and strengthening relationships with key distribution partners.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to grow sales in the municipal water and chemical process markets through expanded distributor stocking and field-level sales engagement
Identify and prioritize distributor branches for inventory expansion of core product lines, including valves, actuators, strainers, and filters
Conduct regular branch visits to audit stock levels, identify product gaps, and ensure alignment with Hayward stocking programs
Deliver comprehensive training to distributor inside and outside sales teams on product applications, technical advantages, and value propositions tailored to municipal and chemical process end users
Partner with distributor sales representatives on joint customer calls, product demonstrations, and project development opportunities
Collaborate with Hayward’s Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, and Marketing to implement promotions, product launches, and targeted campaigns within the assigned markets
Track and report key metrics such as branch-level stocking increases, sales growth by product line, and training activity in CRM
Gather competitive intelligence and market feedback to support new product development and strategic planning
Represent Hayward Flow Control at industry events, trade shows, and technical training sessions as needed
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in industrial sales, distribution development, or channel management—preferably in fluid handling, valves, piping systems, or process equipment
Demonstrated experience working with municipal water treatment or chemical process applications
Proven success in building and expanding distributor relationships and managing multiple branch locations
Strong technical and application knowledge, with the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and commercial audiences
Excellent presentation, training, and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with strong territory management and organizational abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory (up to 50%)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field
