The Department of General Services is seeking qualified applicants for Systems Maintenance Technician I positions to assist with repairs and maintenance of County Government facilities, ensuring superior customer service and prompt responses to work requests.

Responsibilities
Assist by having materials, tools, and equipment ready as repairs progress
Assist with demobilization and cleanup when repairs are completed
Respond promptly and directly to work requests
Diagnose, initiate, and complete minor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs in County Government facilities
Receive and close out work requests by computer and/or hand-held electronic device
Inspect facilities and report HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems or unsafe conditions
Keep vehicles fully stocked with appropriate tools and materials
Must provide superior customer service at all times
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of related work experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, automotive, and/or security system trades
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Hold or obtain CFC license within six (6) months of hire
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
Must be available to respond to County emergencies (24/7) as directed in accordance with Department policy and written or verbal directive
