Responsibilities
At Systems level, design, development and integration of mass spectrometry hardware, firmware, software, with an emphasis on ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry)
Work closely with electronics, mechanical, firmware, and software design engineers to create integrated mass spectrometer-based systems
Work closely with OEM supplier engineers on the design of specialized components of mass spectrometer-based systems
Assembly and testing of prototype ICP-MS systems and/or components
Development of performance specifications and test procedures for mass spectrometry-based instrument systems
Support ICP-MS applications scientists and applications development
Preparation of internal technical reports and documentation
Assist transfer to production of successful prototype/R&D pilot designs, including training and support of production engineers
Development and maintenance of functional requirements for new product introduction projects
Qualification
Required
