Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between business units, end-users, and technical teams to gather and document detailed business requirements
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support informed decision-making
Troubleshoot application and workflow issues independently or in collaboration with Application Teams and stakeholders
Design and propose technical and process solutions that align with business goals and organizational objectives
Partner with project and oversight teams to implement solutions and ensure operational alignment
Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and leadership
Develop, document, and maintain detailed business requirements, process maps, and solution documentation
Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of new system features and configurations
Identify and implement process improvements to support continuous optimization and efficiency
Manage and submit change requests in collaboration with the Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring adherence to change management protocols including documentation, testing, and implementation
Collaborate with end-users to design, build, and enhance Epic system functionality
Work incidents, service requests, and tickets within established service-level agreements (SLAs)
Perform daily monitoring of applications to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance
Provide Epic product design, build, and testing expertise for assigned Epic modules
Collaborate with other Epic teams to ensure system integration and workflow consistency
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and Epic system functionality
Knowledge of Population Health, Community Health, and Public Health workflows
Familiarity with healthcare information systems and end-to-end healthcare operations
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across technical and operational teams
Experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders to support business and clinical objectives
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
Prior experience supporting Epic applications in a business analyst or similar role
Preferred
Epic Certifications preferred: EpicCare Ambulatory
Epic Certifications considered: EpicCare Ambulatory, Epic Healthy Planet (Clinical and/or Analytics), Cogito Tools Administration
Customer service or application support experience in a healthcare or FQHC environment is a plus
