Responsibilities
Direct technical and engineering activities for assigned projects and programs from design to development to validation
Act as technical liaison between Central Office, manufacturing plants, suppliers and customers
Facilitate DFMEA development standards and procedures for “Design Responsibility”
Lead glazing systems engineering & design activities with product design standards
Conduct internal and external design review activities, working closely with customer-directed design
Support prototyping activities at glass, value-add, and component part plants
Negotiate technical specifications, tolerances and alternative design proposals with customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Engineering, or a technically related field
5+ years in automotive product design or automotive glazing is a must
3+ years working for a J-OEM is a must
Detailed understanding of GD&T & tolerance stack-up principles
Understanding of CATIA, SAP or similar CAD software packages
Preferred
Teamcenter proficiency preferred
