Responsibilities
Connect with existing and prospective Members via branch referrals, closed‑loan lists, other lead sources—and initiate loan applications
Educate Members on current mortgage rates and the full range of lending services CCU offers
Actively engage with assigned branch teams and participate in community events to boost outreach and sales opportunities as well as represent CCU at various functions to uncover new business opportunities
Set clear expectations for borrowers and work collaboratively with both the Member and operations teams to ensure a smooth and timely experience
Provide superior customer service and deep product knowledge to build and maintain strong Member relationships
Ensure loan applications are entered accurately and completely; maintain records and report regularly to management
Identify cross‑sell opportunities and use in‑person, phone, email, and written communication to help branch business grow. Assist in developing promotional strategies to meet sales goals
Stay sharp on new products, selling techniques, and market trends while adhering to real‑estate lending laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field—preferred
At least 3 years' experience in mortgage lending—minimum
Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing outreach, education, and application processing
Knowledgeable about lending laws and regulations and committed to compliance
Passionate about helping Members and working in a high‑energy team environment
Preferred
Banking experience and 2+ years' experience in customer service or a related area is a plus!
High proficiency and comfort level with Encompass, Optimal Blue, MS Office and other systems and software is preferred
