Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and communicate the financial strategy of the organization, aligned with its overall goals and objectives
Provide input and recommendations to the CFO and executive management regarding financial decisions and revenue generation
Lead onsite hospital efforts pertaining to the annual budgeting and forecasting process, in collaboration with EHC's financial planning department and working closely with clinical department heads to establish financial targets and guidelines
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics, to the CFO, senior management, and other governing bodies
Oversee daily financial operations, including labor management (productivity), expense management, and month end variance explanations
Acts as a liaison to execute onsite process improvement efforts pertaining to revenue cycle to optimize revenue capture and minimize denials
Lead a high-performing financial operation functions by providing guidance and education to clinical department leaders
Coordinate and support system initiatives to improve the financial health of the organization
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence within the department
Continuously evaluate financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for streamlining and efficiency improvements
Implement best practices to enhance the overall financial operations of the organization
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to achieve financial objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
Proven experience in financial management and leadership, typically with a minimum of 7-10 years in progressively responsible roles
Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred

A master's degree (e.g., MBA or MFin) is often preferred
Preferably in the healthcare industry
