Clinical Peer Program Manager

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Peer Supervisors, Specialists, and designated program staff including case managers, behavioral health therapists, team leads, and supervisors ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards in behavioral health care
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of peer programming, ensuring services align with agency goals and community needs
Establish and maintain standards that optimize the use of peer resources while fostering collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Deliver direct client care as needed, utilizing lived experience of recovery to engage, advocate, and connect clients with treatment, services, and supports
Provide training not only for the peers, but for the agency as a whole on the advantages of incorporating these important positions into clinical teams
Support change management initiatives, guiding staff through program improvements, policy updates, and new service implementations
Evaluate staff performance, conduct regular reviews, address conduct or ethical issues, and implement corrective action when necessary
Ensure compliance and accurate reporting with county, state, and federal regulations, as well as grant and contract requirements
Contributes to the strategic planning process, including driving policy and procedure changes when necessary for program improvement. Which could also include overseeing the implementation of new clinical projects, service lines, and/or treatment sites
Serve as a resource person to clinical staff, case managers, and team leads regarding peer services

Required

Masters (MA) Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field from accredited College or University required
More than (5) five years of experience in the Mental Health Field, Substance Use Disorder Field or program of application required
More than (3) three years of experience in a supervisory role (administrative or clinical) required
Experience with mild to severe mental illness and substance use disorders required
Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use issues (either personally or as a family member) with 2+ years of sustained recovery
Current Colorado professional license in appropriate discipline (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) required
Valid Colorado driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
CPR and First Aid certifications may be required for certain locations
COPA Colorado Peer Specialist certification (CPFS) or willingness to immediately work toward certification. All trainings, work experience hours, and costs toward certification are covered in-house

Preferred

CAS or LAC preferred
Experience in program development and managing clinical projects preferred
Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
