Responsibilities

Implements and maintains company Health and Safety programs while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal health and safety regulations

Proactively involved in the recognition, evaluation and control of Health and Safety hazards

Improves facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes Health and Safety recommendations accordingly

Proactively works with leadership and front-line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve Health and Safety concerns

Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating HSE policy and procedure manuals

Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization

Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies

Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Relies on best practices and pre-established guidelines to meet the requirements of the job

Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager

Qualification

Occupational Health & SafetySafety Engineering CertificationHSE Management SystemsAerospace Industry ExperienceAdvanced Technology SkillsCommunication SkillsLeadership Skills

Required

8 or more years of directly related experience in occupational health and safety/injury and illness prevention

High school diploma or equivalent

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S
