Responsibilities

Use industrial engineering modelling software to simulate production flows, optimize manufacturing processes, identify potential bottlenecks or constraints and confirm the achievability of planned cycle times
Perform thorough assessments to ensure that production processes are prepared for smooth operation
Lead formal transitions to production using existing policies and procedures to ensure seamless implementation
Conduct detailed analyses of machine shop utilization and capacity to identify areas of improvement
Work closely with facilities, EH&S, Manufacturing Engineering, and operations leadership to establish new production areas and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
Occasionally support packaging engineering activities as required by project needs. This would include working with the design engineering team and suppliers to document, review and test packaging solutions

Required

B.S. in Industrial Engineering or a related field with 5+ years' experience
B.S. in Industrial Engineering or a related field with 2+ years' experience
Ability to show proficiency (during interview) in using industrial engineering modelling software for simulating production flows
Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform detailed assessments and analyses
Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to lead and manage transitions to production using existing policies and procedures
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to implement process improvements
Effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to leadership
Willingness to increase knowledge of manufacturing technologies and lean principles
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred

Simio and CAD are highly preferred
Experience with Siemens NX is desired
