Wetland Ecologist
raSmith is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting civil and structural engineering and land surveying firm. They are seeking a Wetland Ecologist to contribute to projects involving wetland and waterway delineation, rare species habitat assessments, and the use of GPS equipment for field data collection.

Responsibilities
Wetland and waterway delineation, as well as reporting and permitting
Navigability and Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) Determinations
Rare species habitat assessments and presence/absence surveys
Proficiency in using GPS equipment (Trimble) to collect field data
Experience with computer-aided mapping software (e.g., ArcMap, Field Maps, etc.) is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Create cost estimates and project scopes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or related degree from a U.S. accredited college or university
5+ years of related work experience
Excellent oral, written and analytical skills
Self-motivated, positive, organized and must be able to work independently
Be able to travel as projects require and be willing to work in various field situations
Applicable U.S. based work experience
Preferred
Experience with computer-aided mapping software (e.g., ArcMap, Field Maps, etc.)
MS or PhD in Environmental Science or related degree
