Responsibilities

Help trace circuits of defective units, using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to locate to the component level
Discuss layout/assembly problems with Electronics Technicians and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units
Assemble experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems and components and their functions
Analyze/recommend basic changes in circuitry or installation specifications to improve assembly, maintenance, test method or product performance
Set up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry and conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production products
Analyze and interpret test data and adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance
Record test/alignment procedures and results, defects, repair history, numerical and graphical data and evaluate equipment and processes to ensure associate safety
Must possess the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while using safe lifting techniques
Compliance with HRD-003 (Garmin’s Attendance Policy)
Compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements

Required

Pursuing an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology OR Vocational Certificate in Electronics Technology or related field
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Must demonstrate the ability to handle component level troubleshooting tasks
Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while using safe lifting techniques
