Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
Prepare construction documents, specifications, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection in compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure project integration and design consistency
Conduct site visits, inspections, and field coordination as required
Assist in cost estimating, project scheduling, and technical reviews
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and drafters as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
3–6 years of professional electrical design experience
EIT required; PE license preferred
Proven experience working with NYC agencies and clients
Strong knowledge of NYC Electrical Code and related standards
Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in Bluebeam
Excellent communication and coordination skills
