As a Disaster Recovery Advisor, you will provide personalized guidance to clients during their recovery journey, offering support and resources tailored to their unique situations.
Information Services
Responsibilities
Support 20 to 80 clients per month during disaster response activations, offering calm and steady guidance
Lead survivors through onboarding, recovery planning, and key decisions that shape their next steps
Share clear information, trusted resources, and referrals based on each client’s situation
Document each case accurately in the Bright Harbor platform, tracking progress from start to finish
Collaborate with teammates and outside experts when clients need specialized support
Qualification
Required
Available to respond quickly when a natural disaster occurs, with flexible part-time or full-time availability during activation periods
Experience in disaster recovery, housing support, case management, or community rebuilding — or lived experience as a survivor who wants to help others
Self-motivated, organized, and dependable, with strong follow-through
Comfortable using technology and eager to learn new tools and systems
Excellent communicator with empathy, emotional intelligence, and patience
Committed to acting with integrity and driven by a genuine desire to help others
