The Powertrain Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing and testing the aircraft’s power systems, managing system requirements, and collaborating with suppliers and the testing team.

Responsibilities

Develop hydrogen electric power distribution architectures

Build models to analyze and optimize major systems and components

Tune these models based on bench testing data

Manage system requirements from development through validation and verification

Work closely with suppliers and the testing team to define the powertrain performance characteristics

Required

Experience with systems engineering lifecycles

Strong foundation of core engineering principles (Electrical/ thermal dynamic systems)

Experience developing, analyzing, and/or modeling electric powertrain systems (e.g. lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, electric motors, inverters, thermal systems)

Experience with hydrogen systems

Knowledge of optimization tools and MBSE frameworks
