Responsibilities

Lead technical expertise for Confluent Kafka and support AWS AMQ, BMC Control-M, and Google Apigee; establish platform standards and drive feature adoption
Mentor engineers, review code, make architectural choices, and encourage team development
Align business needs with technical solutions by collaborating with stakeholders and assessing third-party tools
Ensure reliability with monitoring, alerts, automation, and swift incident response
Improve processes, promote best practices, and foster learning of new technologies
Keep documentation up-to-date and ensure compliance with security and regulations
Provide 24/7 support for engineering tool reliability and efficiency

Required

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years in platform engineering/infrastructure, including 2+ years in technical leadership
Proven expertise with large-scale Confluent Kafka and/or AWS AMQ deployments
Hands-on experience with BMC Control-M for enterprise automation and orchestration
Strong background in API management (preferably Google Apigee), including API security and analytics
Deep knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and hybrid-cloud integration
Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
Skilled in Python and Java programming/scripting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., Confluent, AWS) highly valued
