Senior Associate of Family Office
Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs is a certified public accounting firm seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Family Office Services team. This role involves overseeing accounting functions for high-net-worth clients, including financial statement preparation, cash management, and collaboration with senior leadership.

Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and posting of transactions and journal entries to the general ledger (GL), ensuring accurate tracking of all income, expenses, and adjustments
Lead the preparation of monthly financial reports, assist with the closing process, and ensure that all financial data is properly reflected in the system. Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly financial statements for family office clients
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and collections
Oversee cash management activities, including managing incoming payments, outgoing checks, and ensuring proper documentation for all transactions
Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve financial issues, process payments, and ensure financial records are up to date
Support tax compliance processes, including the aggregation of tax documents and collaboration with tax preparation teams
Assist with the preparation of estate plan summaries and financial analysis
Assist with process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. Mentor and train junior staff and accounting associates
Work closely with managers, directors, and other team members to provide additional financial insights, reporting, and support on client projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
3-5 years of UHNW tax preparation and accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.)
Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred
