Responsibilities
To ensure we are in compliance with all regulatory requirements in the US Power business
Create and maintain vendor oversight procedures
Oversight and relationship management with outsourced vendor
Contract negotiation and review
GS liaison with vendor/s for operational support of new business
Nominating power, renewables and carbon positions to relevant Market/System Operators
Ensuring counterparty and Operator submitted data reflects our trading positions
Providing Traders & Sales Teams with timely and accurate market data
Participate in ongoing development of the procedures & processes in order to support the business
Project Management to facilitate trading in new markets and products including external interfaces and internal IT system enhancements
Interfacing with Legal, Compliance, Credit, IT, Tax & relevant external bodies
Qualification
Required
BS/BA Degree
At least 2 years of professional experience
Physical Electricity, Renewables and Carbon scheduling or equivalent experience in the North American markets
Preferred
Accuracy and attention to detail
Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to learn quickly in a fast moving environment
Strong technical and analytical skills
Team oriented approach – openness and good communication skills within the team and the ability to work across functions inside and outside of Operations
Innovation, able to suggest & implement ideas to complement & develop new processes as they evolve with the business
Self-motivated to manage projects and seek opportunities to enhance business benefit
Focus on control issues, processes and procedures
