Responsibilities

Must be able to safely perform elevated cleaning responsibilities using ladders, man lifts, platforms, and articulating lifts
Must be able to work in cold, wet, hot, dusty, slippery, and/or closed space areas for extended periods of time
Must have the ability and dexterity to clean all types of surfaces from various positions and angles. For example, underneath, above or inside
Must have mechanical ability to use small hand tools and equipment as needed, e.g., pressure washers, steam cleaners, mechanic tools/wrenches and powered tools
Must be able to consistently complete all sanitation tasks and responsibilities to compliance expectations with limited supervision
Must be able to manage cleaning and sanitizing chemicals while wearing proper PPE
Must be able to lift and carry 70lbs. continuously throughout an entire shift, and sustain frequent lifting, bending, balancing, and reaching
Must be able to flex schedule to consistently ensure business needs are met and have excellent work ethic
Must be able to follow instructions
Must be able to use good judgment ensuring sanitation responsibilities are performed and completed to meet compliance expectations
Continuously demonstrates an elevated level of sense of responsibility, professionalism, good interpersonal skills, communicates well, dependable, trustworthy, a team player and clearly understands the need for urgency
Perform the seven steps of excellent sanitation using the 4 essential factors
Learn and sustain the concepts of the 5S methodology
Maintain tools and equipment properly so they are always in good working condition (examples: man lifts, pressure washers & floor scrubbers)
Tech l – after 90 days on the job, must clearly understand the principles of the 7 steps of sanitation & 3743 and personally make them your best practices

High school diploma, G.E.D or extensive previous knowledge in food manufacturing sanitation
Willingness to learn and consistently execute those learning to expectations plans
Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, sanitation programs, and the importance of validations/verifications programs
Clear and concise understanding of why sanitation for food is important in food manufacturing
