Responsibilities
15+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems
Knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, security protocols, and applied cryptography
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
Guide internal teams on building secure architectures and onboarding new technologies
Collaborate with internal architects and service teams to assess security risks and maintain high security standards
Experienced with supporting security programs and security engineering/architecture in complex enterprise environments
Qualification
Required
15+ years' experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems
Knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, security protocols, and applied cryptography
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies

Collaborate with internal architects and service teams to assess security risks and maintain high security standards
Experienced with supporting security programs and security engineering/architecture in complex enterprise environments
You should be familiar with both core cloud services architecture and strong security background
We need someone who can go deep—ideally, someone who has worked in Identity or Crypto areas as an architect/Principal Engineer at a major Hyperscaler
We must keep up with the growth in the number of regions, which exposes us to more challenges
Preferred
A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role
An advanced degree is a plus, but not essential

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
