Responsibilities

Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data
Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry
Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities
Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. Collaboration with business leaders and managers in the Claims Department to deeply understand their software and reporting needs
Build and maintain models to estimate ultimate loss costs, often using techniques like loss development triangles
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, develop factors, and assess loss characteristics
Work with underwriting, claims, finance, and other teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment on reserving assumptions
Support audits and provide documentation and analysis for external regulators
Report to management as soon there is an awareness of any issues or concerns which may be detrimental to the department or Company
Maintain that sensitive information regarding employees and the Company is kept confidential

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics
Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience is desired
Solid understanding of Actuarial concepts, up to exam 5 concepts
Experience with R or python
Strong knowledge of relational databases and experience with SQL Server or similar database systems
Familiarity with Business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred

Relevant certifications such as working towards ACAS or FCAS are a plus
